The Applications team supports enterprise and non-enterprise applications. They repair and recover applications from software failures and coordinate and communicate with management, IT programs, and impacted customers.
The Business Administration team supports IT and its divisions with budget and contract management, procurement, finance, and recruitment. This team is the liaison to other centralized administrative city departments.
The Database Administration team supports the City of El Paso's database infrastructure. Team members maintain the integrity, accessibility, security, and access privileges of database systems.
The Geographic Information Systems (GIS) team utilizes geospatial authoring tools to create applications and maps. The GIS team provides several data analytics applications as well as manages the City of El Paso Open Data Hub and its datasets.
The Networking team maintains the Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) of the City of El Paso. Team members configure and maintain network infrastructure by installing hardware and customizing applications for the network environment.
The Project Management team center their efforts on project planning, coordination, communication, and delivery. Team members manage diverse stakeholder expectations and cross-functional project teams. The team's work is coordinated across DolTS teams to deliver successful results.
The Public Safety team supports the Public Safety information systems. Team members assist with Mobile Computer Terminal (MCT) support for the Police and Fire Department. They are responsible for configuring the networks for Police and Fire units, software support, and radio infrastructure.
The records provide management and support of physical records including the storage, retention, and destruction of records. The mail room team is in charge of citywide mailing projects, the pick-up and delivery of USPS, and inter-office mail for city departments.
The Security Assurance team at the City of El Paso develops and enforces security policies and procedures to safeguard information. Additionally, the team administers security tools, monitors events, and leads the implementation of the organization's Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plan.
The Service Desk team serves as the primary contact for IT inquiries, categorizing and addressing support tickets based on urgency and task nature. They troubleshoot issues remotely and onsite, perform administrative tasks, and escalate tickets as needed. Additionally, they provide support to other teams within DolTS when required.
Our skilled software developers play a crucial role in streamlining internal processes and enhancing public services. They leverage their expertise to design and implement applications that optimize efficiency and improve user experiences.
The Support Services team is primarily responsible for responding to onsite work tickets. Team members go to departments and offices to perform services including managing camera systems, assisting major projects, addressing on-call or City Council assistance, working on printer service maintenance, among other in-person IT work requests.
The Systems Administration team is responsible for providing, installing/configuring, and maintaining systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure. Team members are responsible for maintaining certain application access, server infrastructure, and operating system platforms.

The Web Team at the City of El Paso is the creative force behind our digital presence, designing, developing, and maintaining City websites, and creating and maintaining City branding. In addition to crafting visually appealing and user-friendly websites, they also lend their expertise to developing application front ends, graphic design, content creation, and analytic analysis.
