    ComSAR at McKelligon Canyon

    Fire Department
    El Paso, Texas – At approximately 7:21 p.m. on Monday Oct. 17, the El Paso Fire Department was dispatched to McKelligon Canyon when two hikers lost sight of the trail and called 9-1-1. The first unit arrived on the scene at 7:32 p.m. and spotted a distress signal light at the top of the ridge line, a few miles off trail. The Combined Search and Rescue team was immediately dispatched to help the hikers return to the trail.
