El PASO, Texas – The El Paso Fire Department announces today that an investigation regarding a vehicle fire from March 12, 2016 at the 7400 block of Remcon Circle has led to the arrest of a 38-year-old male. The male was taken into custody on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 in Savannah, Ga. and was charged with violation of Texas Penal Code Offense 28.02 – Arson Second Degree Felony.
Water Rescue Santa Fe
At approximately 12:20 p.m. on Monday July 24, the El Paso Fire Department was dispatched to the canal near Santa Fe. St. and Calleros Ct. when U.S. Border Patrol agents called 9-1-1 after witnessing a group of five people get swept by the current. The first unit arrived on the scene at 12:24 p.m. and spotted agents and passersby pulling people out from the canal’s edge. The Water Rescue team was immediately dispatched.
