Mass Transit Department Receives Major Recognitions from State
Sun Metro competed against 8 Metropolitan Transit Agencies in the state of Texas and is proud to be the recipient of the Outstanding Metropolitan System Award from the Texas Transit Association (TTA), a prestigious award in the transit industry and the first in the Department’s history.
Sun Metro’s most recent recognitions also include being recognized by the Texas Municipal League Intergovernmental Risk Pool for successfully reducing accident claims by 48% from the 2005-2006 coverage period, and the recognition of Sun Metro operators at the state level Road-eo.
