Application Management

The Applications Management Division is a team of professionals that provide enterprise application management, software support, software development, and web services to City Departments, the public, and other governmental organizations so they can use data in a meaningful way to make strategic and operational decisions and achieve organizational results.

Database Administration

The Database Administration team supports, configures, and monitors the city databases which provide the backbone of the all online processes. The DBA team also provides necessary backup and recovery support and helps maintain the security of city data.

Enterprise Applications

Enterprise applications are those in which the target audience is not a single user, but rather a large user group. Enterprise applications usually automate multiple related business processes that align across an organization to provide a complete end-to-end solution. This program is dedicated to the support and maintenance of these large scale applications that are used for service delivery across the City of El Paso by over 6,000 employees and the citizens of El Paso.

Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

The Geographic Information Systems (GIS) team provides geospatial data collection, analysis, application development, access and support services to the City, its officials, all departments, regional, state, federal, international agencies, and the public to allow accurate and reliable geospatial data to make informed decisions and create complete solutions.

Web & Software Development

The Web and Software Development team manages over 15 city websites with 40 departmental micro-sites, and over 20 in house applications. The team is responsible for supporting and developing new applications, websites, and provides in house graphic design support for the city.
