Upcoming Service Improvements

 ROUTES 
SMART 103 The introduction of this new route will provide limited stop express service from the new Bert Williams Downtown Santa Fe Transfer Center to the intersection of Alameda and Zaragoza Monday through Sunday.
ROUTE 3 Ysleta Express will be streamlined by traveling from the Border Highway onto Santa Fe Street improving current frequency Monday-Saturday including an additional PM trip.
  ROUTE 8 NORTH/SOUTH CIRCULATOR will be deactivated and absorbed by Route 9.
ROUTE 9 GOLDEN HORSESHOE DOWNTOWN CIRCULATOR changed name to Golden Horseshoe Downtown Circulator. The route will remain FREE to the public and will absorb portion of Route 8.
ROUTE 10 SUNSET HEIGHTS/UTEP will improve service frequency to 25 minutes Monday-Saturday.
ROUTE 18 WESTSIDE/DOWNTOWN will improve frequency to every 30 minutes Monday-Saturday.
ROUTES 21, 22 AND 62 will start and end at the Texas Avenue and Oregon Street boarding zone.
ROUTE 25 UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER changed name to University Medical Center. Routing and scheduling adjustments made to extend service to the neighborhood near Geronimo Drive and Tampa Avenue.
ROUTE 33 GOVERNMENT HILLS VIA BASSETT PLACE Routing and scheduling adjustments to start and end at the new Downtown Transfer Center with express service to the Five Points and minor routing modifications around Chelsea/Brookhollow area.
ROUTE 34 MEDICAL CENTER VIA CLIFF routing and scheduling modifications: Route expansion to the Five Point Terminal from the Medical Center area Monday to Sunday.
ROUTE 35 NORTHGATE/DYER Sunday schedule will have earlier trips from the Downtown Transfer Center and the Northgate Terminal.
ROUTE 41 NORTHGATE VIA PIEDRAS will no longer service Beaumont Army Medical Center on Sunday.
ROUTE 42 NORTHGATE CONNECTOR will travel via the Border Highway during the outbound route returning through I-10 on the inbound trip. Service frequency will improve to 20 minutes Monday-Saturday, and 30 minutes on Sunday.
ROUTE 44 SEAN HAGGERTY/MCCOMBS additional 10 minutes will be added to its Sunday service frequency to account for traffic conditions and a previous route extension.
ROUTE 52 PEBBLE HILLS will improve service frequency to 55 minutes Monday-Saturday.
ROUTE 56 PELLICANO will have minor schedule adjustments during the weekday to alleviate existing traffic conditions and school zones around the Zaragoza Road area.
ROUTE 63 LOMA TERRACE VIA ZARAGOZA will have scheduling and routing expansion around Socorro/ America’s area to improve service to the major commercial developments in the Zaragoza /Americas neighborhood.
ROUTE 64 TIGUA VIA PRESA will be deactivated due to the lack of ridership. Portions of the route will be absorbed by SMART 103 and Routes 25 and 63.
ROUTE 70 UNIVERSITY EXPRESS will operate from 6 am to 6 pm Monday through Friday with services offered every 30 minutes during peak hours (6-10 am and 1-5 pm) and every hour during non-peak hours.
SUPER STOP BOARDING LOCATIONS will help Sun Metro riders connect with different routes in the center of Downtown improving service efficiency.
