Q. How much does it cost to ride the bus?
A. Please refer to the Sun Metro Fees web page for the cost of riding the bus.

Q. Are all of the buses wheelchair accessible?
A. Yes

Q. How many passengers can each bus carry at one time?
A. Trolleys can carry 28 passengers. The fixed route buses can carry 43-45 passengers depending on the model. Additional passengers can be carried if they stand.

Q. Does Sun Metro go to Juárez?
A. No. However, Sun Metro is working with Juarez to provide service in the near future.

Q. Does Sun Metro rent the trolleys?
A. No. Due to Federal Law, Sun Metro is not able to charter buses or trolleys.

Q. Do all the buses have bike racks?
A. No. Unfortunately, not all buses are equipped with racks. The model of some buses and trolleys does not allow for the modifications necessary to hold a rack.

Q. What types of pre-paid passes do you offer and where can I obtain them?
A. Please refer to the Sun Metro Monthly Passes web page for information on the types of pre-paid passes and how to obtain them.

Q. What are the requirements to get a Sun Metro ID?
A. Sun Metro Student ID: Students of all ages qualify for the student rate of $0.50 if currently enrolled in any school, college, university, trade school, etc. Proof of age and enrollment (registration receipt, current student ID card, etc.) required, per valid period, at time of ID picture. Sun Metro ID Card is issued free of charge.

Sun Metro Senior ID (65 and older): Proof of age and a valid official ID required when applying.

Sun Metro Disabled/Medicare Recipient ID: A Medicare Card or a physician’s certificate of disability is needed for a reduced-fare Sun Metro ID card.

IDs are available free of charge at the Sun Metro Union Plaza Transit Terminal located at 400 W. San Antonio. Lost cards can be replaced for $3.00

Q. Where can I get information about renting the Union Depot rotunda?
A. Please refer to Union Depot Rental Policies page for more information.

Q. Do you have a lost and found?
A. Yes.

Q. Where can I call to see if an item left on the bus was turned in and where can it be picked up?
A. If you lost an item on the bus you can call 533-3333. The lost and found office is located at 700-A San Francisco St.

Q. What are your office hours and locations?
A. Please refer to the Sun Metro Ticket Office Locations & Office Hours page for more information.

Q. Does Sun Metro run on holidays?
A. Yes. On holidays, Sun Metro uses the same schedule used for Sunday routes.
