The Operation AYUDA service and intake center has moved and is operating at the Salvation Army's main location at 4300 E. Paisano St. The center will be open from 9:00 am - 5:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday. Residents may call this intake center at (915) 544-9811. The old location on Commerce Street has CLOSED. The Operation AYUDA intake center on Commerce St. will have Salvation Army staff on-hand to provide assistance to residents who have been affected by the storm, beginning with an interview process where their needs will be evaluated with regards to housing, clean up, financial and other community services. Gift cards to Target and Denny's are also available for distribution by the Salvation Army for those individuals that have been affected by the storm to assist with food and other necessities. The Housing Authority of the City of El Paso (HACEP) will still provide housing assistance to those in need at their main office located at 5300 E. Paisano from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday. Residents may also contact HACEP at 849-3742. Residents can access Red Cross service information at www.texasnewmexicofloods.org or by calling 1-866-GET INFO (438-4636).
