Streaming video is technology which allows you to view multimedia
content over an Internet connection.
What format is the streaming video in?
The City of El Paso uses the RealNetworks format (.rm) for
its streaming video.
What software do I need to view the streaming video?
To view the City's streaming videos, you will need the latest
RealPlayer.
If you don’t have RealPlayer,
you can download and install the RealPlayer
software provided free of charge from RealNetworks.
Why does the City provide streaming video?
Streaming video is a service provided by The City of El Paso
for the purpose of increasing citizen accessibility to
government meetings & events.
Is the City Council Meeting streamed “live”?
Yes. Unless otherwise noted, City Council Meetings are streamed
“live” every Tuesday at 9:00 A.M. (MT).
How can I access the “live” City Council
Meeting stream?
The “Live Streaming Events” box, located at the
top middle area of this web page. It will change to indicate that
an event stream is now available.
Where does the “live” City Council Meeting
streaming video come from?
The stream is captured from cameras and microphones
installed in City Council Chambers.
