| Detective Rhonda Russ-Cook |
|
My name is Rhonda M. Russ-Cook. I have been an El Paso Police Officer
for 11 years. I am currently assigned as an Investigator (Detective)
in the Crimes Against Children Unit. My previous assignments have
included the following:
- Assistant Coordinator for Crime Stoppers
- Training Specialist at the Police Academy
- Training Coordinator for the Northeast Regional Command
- Patrol Officer/Northeast Regional Command
- TDY assignment to VICE
The opportunity to experience different sections of the department
is available to everyone. During this time and in the different sections,
I have further had the opportunity to travel for training. These locations
have included Los Angeles, Dallas, Victoria (Canada), and many others.
The benefits are also extra special. I recently took 14 weeks off
for the birth of my second daughter. The time spent with her was invaluable.
The accrued sick leave and vacation benefit is what allowed me to
be able to take this time off. I had the complete support of my unit
and my supervisors.
