| The Citizens Advisory Board,
commonly referred to as the C.A.B., acts in partnership with the
community and the Regional Command Center, providing a
communication link to relay the needs relative to the citizens
concerns and to provide feedback to the community regarding the
Regional Command Center’s operations. The Citizens Advisory
board consists of twenty members from the community that are
appointed by the commander. Monthly meeting are normally held at
the Regional Command Center one night a month. The meetings are
scheduled for one hour. These meetings are open to the public.
The Citizens Advisory Board coordinates with other governmental
agencies, community organizations and service providers to
resolve the community concerns. The Citizens Advisory Board also
provides information to the community as to the role and the
operations of the El Paso Police Department MISSION STATEMENT:
The mission of the Northeast Regional Command Center Citizens
Advisory Board is to support the community of the Northeast and
the El Paso Police Department in protecting our region from
crime and its consequences, thereby enhancing the quality of
life in our neighborhoods. The Citizens Advisory Board serves as
a liaison for the community and the El Paso Police by
encouraging the team concept and promoting greater police –
community interaction and understanding in solving the problems
in the region.
