Parks & Recreation - SUMMER SWIM LEAGUE

The Parks and Recreation Aquatics Division provides a competitive summer swim league as well as other programs such as swim lessons to prepare swimmers for summer swim league.

The Aquatic Division is dedicated to give all children a fair and equal opportunity to participate in all programs.

The goal of the summer league program is to stimulate an interest in competitive swimming and provide a means through which youth may learn leadership, the principles of good sportsmanship, values of physical fitness, advanced aquatic skills, encourage and develop teamwork, establish a love for the sport of swimming, and community spirit.

We hope that each swimmer will leave the team with basic skills in all four competitive strokes, with a love of swimming, and with new friendships and great memories.

The first date of registration for all participants will be Saturday, April 4th, 2009 at the Aquatic Office (911 S. Ochoa, Suite A) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. All other registrations will be conducted between the office hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday- Friday except for city holidays at the Aquatics Office (911 S. Ochoa, Suite A). Registration will close Tuesday, July 7th for the Public Summer Swim League and Friday, July 10th for the Private Summer Swim League.
