Person of the Month: October Category: Adult Name: June Cantor June Cantor has been a member of Eastside Senior Center since the center opened. She has always been active in the center. For several years she has been active in the Incorporation for the center and is now the president of the Incorporation Council. She also teaches a Folk/Line Dance class at the center every Monday. A few years ago she had a stroke and as soon as she recovered she took up her duties as instructor and all other duties at the center. She also volunteers for the El Paso Police Department and the AARP group that meets at the center each month. She is truly an inspiration to all who have the privilege of knowing her. Welcome to the Person of the Month in the Adult and Youth categories for the City Parks and Recreation Department.

The individuals nominated can be a part of your program or center in athletics, art, volunteerism, coaching or any other areas. You make the call. We are asking that your nominations for your particular individuals be turned in by the 20th of each month.

The honorees each month will be posted on the Parks and Recreation Web site and also published in the El Paso Times Newspaper. You may nominate the same person as an honoree as many times as you like.
