1. Is this where I can get information to rent a shelter/park?
Yes, this is the place. Are you interested in renting a shelter or place to have a party for a wedding or birthday or other occasion? Call 541-4331

2. How can I find the phone number for a rec center or senior center?
The telephone numbers for all Parks and Recreation Facilities is located in the City Government section of the telephone directory. You can call our receptionist at 541-4331 any time Monday through Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm for this information as well. You can also click on the link Recreation or Senior Center on our webpage for the phone numbers.

3. Who can a person call to report water running down the street or other problems at parks?
Our Parks and Recreation Maintenance section can be reached by calling 621-6792. The dispatcher at this number will put in a work order to correct the problem as soon as possible. The individual Parks Land Management Directors for each side of town can be found online at the bottom of our Parks and Recreation webpage

4. Where can I get information on how and where a person of any age may participate in recreational activities?
This information is available on the Department webpage under Recreation Centers or Senior Centers or Sports. Or you can go online and check out our Parks and Recreation Web Page.

5. My Father/Mother is over 60 years old and is looking for some place in El Paso where they can go for something to do. Do you have a number that I can call to find out about such a place?
Information for persons age 55 and over who wish to participate in Recreational activities can be found in the telephone directory under City Government Parks and Recreation Senior Centers section, City of El Paso Parks and Recreation Web page. Call 541-4331 and ask our Receptionist for held.

6. Flu shots?
Flu shots are generally available for persons 55 years of age or older at our Senior Citizen Centers shortly before the flu season begins. Questions about the program can be answered by contacting the Senior Citizen Centers themselves, by going on line at the Parks Web Page or by calling our receptionist at 541-4331.

7. Can you give me some information where I can get help with my income tax preparation?
Prior to the April deadline for turning tax returns, the City Parks and Recreation Department offers free tax return assistance at several of their Senior Citizen Centers. To get further information about this service telephone your nearest Senior Citizen Center or call the Parks & Recreation Department at 541-4331.

8. I would like information on your swimming pools?
Let me give you the number to the Aquatics Office, they can provide the information you need. Our webpage has a listing of all the Indoor and Outdoor Aquatic Facilities.

9. Where can I get a permit to sell at a city park?
I'm sorry, but we don't have permits to sell at any city park. We have permits to sell at ball fields in a park and the person to call for information is the Acosta Sports Center, her number is 534-0254. Thanks for calling.

10. How can I get information about the locations of City Parks or Parks facilities?
By calling the nearest Recreation Center, Senior Citizen Center nearest to you or by telephoning our Receptionist at City Hall, 541-4331. Or go online at our webpage and see a listing of Parks, addresses and the side of town.
