ACTION TAKEN: APPROVED

THAT THE MAYOR BE AUTHORIZED TO SIGN THE CONSULTING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND REDCO PROVIDING FOR SERVICES RELATED TO NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT, INDUSTRY CLUSTER TARGETING, AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT MARKETING AND PROMOTION, AS WELL AS PROVIDING BUSINESS PROSPECTS WITH INFORMATION ON THE CITY'S ECONOMIC INCENTIVE POLICIES AND GUIDELINES AND MAKING RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE CITY AS TO WHAT TYPES OF INCENTIVES WOULD BE APPROPRIATE FOR CERTAIN BUSINESS EFFORTS. UNDER THE AGREEMENT, WHICH HAS A TERM ENDING DECEMBER 31, 2005, THE CITY WILL REIMBURSE REDCO FOR THE COST OF APPROPRIATE BENCHMARKING COMPARATIVE RESEARCH SERVICES PROVIDED IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $25,000.00.
