ACTION TAKEN: THAT THE CITY ATTORNEY BE AUTHORIZED TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE AGREEMENTS WITH OUTSIDE LAWYERS FOR THE REPRESENTATION OF THE DEFENDANTS WHO HAVE ALREADY BEEN SERVED IN THE LAWSUIT STYLED FRANK LOPEZ III, ET AL VS. CITY OF EL PASO, TEXAS, ET AL; CAUSE NO. EP-05-CA-0009-FM IN THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT OF TEXAS, TO PROCEED IN SAID CASE AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY ATTORNEY'S OFFICE, AND TO PROVIDE THE CITY ATTORNEY WITH SETTLEMENT AUTHORITY AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY ATTORNEY'S OFFICE.
