THIS MOTION IS INTENDED TO SUPPLEMENT THE AUTHORITY GRANTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL ON APRIL 4, 2006, AS WELL AS TO GRANT BROAD AUTHORITY TO THE CITY ATTORNEY TO TAKE ANY ACTION NECESSARY TO ADDRESS THESE MATTERS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE AUTHORITY TO INITIATE AN APPEAL OF THE AWARD OF SPECIAL COMMISSIONERS, AND THE AUTHORITY TO NEGOTIATE AND ENTER INTO A SETTLEMENT OF THE DISPUTE AT ISSUE IN THE LAWSUIT. FURTHER, THIS MOTION IS INTENDED TO GRANT AUTHORITY TO THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN ANY DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE ANY ACTION TAKEN BY THE CITY ATTORNEY PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY DESCRIBED HEREIN.
