| PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD |
| Duties: The PSB has complete management and control of the El Paso Water Utilities, the operation and maintaince of its water and wastewater systems and all of its assets including real estate, approves the budget, and sets rates and fees. |
| Qualifications: |
| Seats: Names of potential board members are nominated by the Public Service Board (PSB) and then submitted to City Council. City Council then appoints one new Board Member. The El Paso Water Utilities Public Service Board will now consist of seven (7) members, one of whom must be the Mayor of the City as provided for by Texas Government Code Section 1502.070(a)(B). Each vacancy in Board membership whether occasioned by expiration of office or otherwise shall be filled by City Council from three persons eligible to serve as Board members and presented to City Council. A selection committee selected by the City Council and comprised of the Board and such additional members as appointed by City Council shall agree upon and submit to City Council the names of such three eligible persons. | Term: Board members can serve two, 4 year terms, except for the Mayor; exiting board members can serve up until vacancy is filled, but no longer than 60 days after term expires.
