| FOSTER GRANDPARENT PROGRAM ADVISORY COUNCIL |
| Duties: The Foster Grandparent Advisory Council was formed in 1987. The purpose of this 20 member advisory council is to promote community support, conduct an annual program evaluation and provide recognition for Foster Grandparents. |
| Qualifications: At least 25% of the members shall be low-income persons aged 60 or over, including Foster Grandparents as voting members. Project staff may not be members or officers of the Advisory Council. |
| Seats: 20 Members: (1 per District, 1 from the Mayor and 11 at large. One quarter of the members must be adults 60 years of age or older and also be of low income.) Members nominated by the Mayor and Districts 3,5, and 8 begin and end in odd numbered years; nominated by Districts 1,2,4,6 and 7 begin and end in even numbered years. See Ordinance 11469 and Resolution 2/15/94. |
| Term: Two, 2 year terms. Staggered terms which all begin in June.
