| FIRE AND POLICE PENSION FUND BOARD OF TRUSTEES |
| Duties: Responsible for the operation and investment management of the Fund. Includes the hiring of investment management, legal, actuarial and consulting professionals, interpreting statutory plan provisions and by-laws, authorizing benefit payments and expenditures as well as formulating policies and procedures. The day-to-day administrative duties and functions of the Fund have been delegated to the Pension Administration Office. The Administration Office processes all requests for retirement, maintains active, retired and deferred member records and serves as the Fund's information center. |
| Qualifications: |
| Seats: 11 members: 3 appointed by the Mayor, 2 appointed by the City manager, 3 policemen to be elected by the members of the policemen's pension fund and 3 firemen to be elected by members of the firemen's pension fund. See Article 6243b, Texas Statutes, updated 9/01/07.
