| COMMITTEE ON BORDER RELATIONS |
| Duties: The Committee, in consultation with appropriate City departments and with interested organizations and individuals in El Paso and Ciudad Juarez, shall consider issues and projects affecting the development or relations between the two communities, and the border and in proximity to El Paso, and shall make recommendations to the City Council on programs or projects to enhance and benefit the relations between the two communities. further, the Board shall make such other reports and recommendations to the City Council in connection with the program as Council may require. See: Ordinance 9504, El Paso Municipal code Section 2.72.030. |
| Qualifications: Section 3.7B of the Charter does not specifically require that the person appointed be a resident of El Paso. |
| Seats: 9 (1 per District, 1 by Mayor). |
| Term: Two, 2 year terms. Term expires end of February. (Ordinance 008262, 009504, and 011188. Resolution 05/12/1992.) |
