Application Process
MCAD is currently working to provide you a more efficient application process. Applications for the 2011 summer concert season will be available online beginning Monday, September 6 and will close on Thursday, November 19, 2010. Applications may be submitted to MCAD during this period.

Music Under the Stars
Bringing the World's Music to El Paso
Location: Chamizal National Memorial
Dates: Sunday evenings, June 13 to August 15 in 2010

2010 marks the 27th season of Music Under the Stars World Music Festival! The outdoor concert series has become one of El Paso's premier family events and one of the largest free music festivals in Texas. Boasting performances by both internationally acclaimed and local artists, Music Under the Stars' 2010 season will feature evenings of Brazilian beats, Salsa and Merengue, Western Swing, Jazz, Mariachis, and our traditional 4th of July Extravaganza!
Certain visiting artists will give free master classes, fostering El Paso's budding musicians. The upcoming season will feature a "4th of July Spectacular" with a patriotic concert by the El Paso Symphony Orchestra and a closing fireworks display.

In 2010, Alfresco! Fridays enters its 8th season. Alfresco! Fridays provides a casual way to experience some of the best established and upcoming local bands. Originally conceived as a way of keeping employees downtown at the start of the weekend, the concerts quickly became a draw for visitors to downtown. The upcoming season will feature Big Band Jazz, Reggae, Classic Rock, Ska, Blues and more. The upcoming season will also feature an Artist Market, providing local artists and artisans a venue to connect with the community.
