Interlibrary Loan is a service provided to the patrons of
the El Paso Public Library to obtain materials
not owned by or available
from the El Paso Public Library System. |
Anyone who has a valid El Paso
Public Library card with fines totaling less than $1.00, and
with no overdue items, may request materials through ILL.
Your record must be clear, as well, when you come to pick up
your requested items. Patrons with fines totaling over
$1.00, or who have overdue items on their cards, will not be
allowed to receive their ILL items until they clear their
records.
ILL requests may be made in person or by phone at any El
Paso Public Library branch. |
You may also download one of the forms
to the right, fill it out,
and drop it off at your neighborhood library the next time
you visit. You may also mail the form to ILL at:

Limits
Patrons may submit up to
five (5) requests per day for print materials.
Patrons may have up to five (5) active requests for
audiovisual material at any time. |

An active request is a request
that has been sent to the ILL office and is in the process
of being ordered, or a request that has been received and is
either in the patron’s possession or awaiting pickup. Once
an item has been returned to the ILL office, it is no longer
considered an active request.
If you are unsure how many active AV requests you currently
have, please feel free to call the ILL office. |

Rules |
| Rule 1 |
Books published in the current
year will not be ordered. |
| Rule 2 |
Requested items must be
available from a library in the Unites States only. We do
not borrow or lend internationally. |
| Rule 3 |
Patrons are responsible for
returning the borrowed materials by the due date
listed on the front strap. |
| Rule 4 |
Patrons are financially
responsible for materials that are lost, damaged, or not
returned. |
