Ruben Rodarte is an artist well-known for his oil painting exhibitions in Ciudad Juarez Anaheim, Los Angeles, and EI Paso. His realistic paintings are rich in color and display a wide tonal range, that took him years to master.

Rodarte demonstrated an avid interest in oil painting art at a very early age. He started his life-long career while residing in Lerdo, Durango, Mexico where he attended classes with the late professor Leonardo Ortiz.

He moved to Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, where he continued to improve his technique in oil painting with Professor Jesus Acosta. He furthered his career in fine arts in Los Angeles where he enrolled in the Art Center where he studied with several well-known artists such as; Paul Sousa and McKim. He further expanded his knowledge by taking classes with Professor Bruce McIntire at Orange Coast Community College in Santa Ana, CA.

Ruben Rodarte refined his love for art by spending five years with well-known artist Frank Tauriello in Laguna Beach, CA. During this time, he fine-tuned his technique, "A La Prima" with an emphasis in painting, drawing, human anatomy, perspective, composition, and color.

For the last eleven years, Rodarte taught art classes in the Senior Adult Program at the El Paso Community College, concentrating on portraits.

He is currently teaching "Life Long Learning" at the University of Texas at EI Paso and offers group sessions in all mediums at his studio.
