Ruben
Rodarte is an
artist well-known for his oil painting
exhibitions in Ciudad Juarez Anaheim, Los
Angeles, and EI Paso. His realistic
paintings are rich in color and display a
wide tonal range, that took him years to
master.
Rodarte demonstrated an avid interest in oil
painting art at a very early age. He started
his life-long career while residing in Lerdo,
Durango, Mexico where he attended classes
with the late professor Leonardo Ortiz.
He moved to Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, where he
continued to improve his technique in oil
painting with Professor Jesus Acosta. He
furthered his career in fine arts in Los
Angeles where he enrolled in the Art Center
where he studied with several well-known
artists such as; Paul Sousa and McKim. He
further expanded his knowledge by taking
classes with Professor Bruce McIntire at
Orange Coast Community College in Santa Ana,
CA. |

Ruben Rodarte refined his love for art by
spending five years with well-known artist
Frank Tauriello in Laguna Beach, CA. During
this time, he fine-tuned his technique, "A
La Prima" with an emphasis in painting,
drawing, human anatomy, perspective,
composition, and color.
For the last eleven years, Rodarte taught
art classes in the Senior Adult Program at
the El Paso Community College, concentrating
on portraits.
He is currently teaching "Life Long
Learning" at the University of Texas at EI
Paso and offers group sessions in all
mediums at his studio. |
