Border Business
Indicators (June 2009) |

U.S. Mexico Trade: Activity at the Major
U.S.-Mexico Border Ports.
U.S.-Mexico border ports processed $74.0
billion or 81.1 percent of the total trade
dollar value of U.S.-Mexico merchandise
($91.2 billion) crossing the border for the
period January-April 2009. Due to the drop
in trade between the U.S. and Mexico, only
eight ports of entry handled over $1 billion
in goods by the end of April. Last year,
there were nine border ports of entry. The
port that did not tally $1 billion or over
was Del Rio, Texas. |
