Lydia Limas
Photographer/Visual Artist 

Lydia Limas is a Chicago native who has lived in El Paso since 1989. Lydia is an award winning, published photographer and painter who has exhibited her work in the United States and  Mexico. Her work has been published in the Capture El Paso book and DVD published by Pediment Publishing (2008), El Paso Times, El Diario, and most recently in Mezcla:Art and Writing from the Tumblewords project book published by Mouthfeel Press (2009). 

Lydia is pursuing her longtime hobby of photography and painting. Her work is in public and private collections. Lydia has participated in juried and non-juried group exhibitions in the United States and in Mexico, including: D’Arte centre in Harlingen, Texas, in a mural by artist Hector Duarte in Caurio de Guadalupe, Michoácan in Mexico. She has also exhibited at the University of Texas at El Paso Centennial Museum, the Hal Marcus Gallery, YISD Galeria de la Misión de Senecu, El Paso Museum of Archeology,  and at the El Paso Public Library. Lydia most recently exhibited her work at the Main Street Gallery in San Elizario, TX, She is a current member of the Juntos Art Association and the El Paso Art Association.
