Look Below A new year and lots of new publications...
We've got a wide variety this month, including year-end reports, lottery information, interviews with comedians, and tips on how to encourage your child's creativity.  Make a resolution this year to come check out this section of the library!
Wildlife Research Highlights 2007 (TX Parks & Wildlife Dept.)
  This report contains summaries of different research projects being conducted on Texas wildlife.  In the back of the book there is a list of publications from Texas Parks & Wildlife employees.
Highlights of the 80th Texas Legislature (TX Senate Research Center)
  Have you been wondering what your Texas representatives and senators have been doing this last year?  This publication lists the bills that have been considered in the last year and is organized according to subject.
Texas Lottery RoundUp (TX Lottery Commission)
  The October/November 2007 edition takes an interesting look behind the scenes of the lottery drawings.
Texas Medicaid Bulletin (TX Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership)
  Issue numbers 208 and 210 have some important information on benefit changes.  There are now some gynecological and reproductive health services available, and there is a new breast and cervical cancer program.  Check out this information and some of the other new services available if you are on Medicaid.
Natural Outlook (TX Commission on Environmental Quality)
  The Fall 2007 issue highlights green building practices.  Learn how new buildings can be environmentally friendly.
Texas Business Review (University of TX at Austin--Bureau of Business Research)
  The April 2007 issue looks at solar power and the growing photovoltaic industry.  It is part one of a two-part article.
Medallion (TX Historical Commission)
  Learn about some of San Antonio's other historical places in the November/December 2007 issue.
Pamphlet (TX Veterans Commission)
  The July/August 2007 issue has some important information about the Hazlewood Act.  This law helps children of deceased or disabled Texas military veterans to attend college.
Secondary School Completion and Dropouts in Texas Public Schools 2005-06 (TX Education Agency)
  This study is conducted on a yearly basis and provides information about the performance of the secondary schools in Texas.

Texas Child Care (TX Workforce Commission)
