The
El Paso Public Library invites everyone to
come aboard the El Paso Culture Cruise
in downtown El Paso. Enjoy an
evening of great events for the whole family at
museums, library, and galleries.
Admission to all locations is free.
Refreshments will be served and live music
will be offered at many locations. |
The El Paso Culture Cruise, a
tradition from 1995 to 2004, returns to the
high seas of downtown El Paso from 5:00 to
9:00 pm, Thursday, June 21, 2007
Organized by the city’s Museum and Cultural
Affairs Department (MCAD), the new improved
Culture Cruise will feature at least eight
stops including the El Paso Museum of Art,
the brand new El Paso Museum of History and
the El Paso Public Library. Private
galleries include the Adair Margo Gallery
and Hal Marcus Gallery. Also
participating are Creative Kids’ Olo
Gallery, the Art Junction and Union Fashion.
Sun Metro will provide trolley
transportation for 25 cents a ride, or free
to anyone and their guests who park at Union
Plaza Transit Terminal, 400 W. San Antonio
(parking is $3).

Pies de los Gitanos (Feet of the Gypsies)
¡Bailamos! Discover the traditional world of Spanish Flamenco
dancing. Guided by a musician and professional
dancers in costume, participants will learn how to
incorporate all traditional elements into their
dance: feet (zapateados, claps (palmas) and voice (cante).
