Pianists On Tour supports graduate
piano students in a touring program that
takes them throughout the southwest,
presenting programs at concert series,
universities, libraries, and private homes.
This exciting opportunity gives students
real life touring experiences and brings
talented performers to a multitude of
concert venues. This program is sponsored in
part by the University of Arizona School of
Music. In 2006, piano students toured
recitals at the University of New Mexico in
Albuquerque, the Burges Library Series in El
Paso, Texas and the Academy Village in Vail,
Arizona. This season, students Thomas Azar
and Astrid Chan will appear at the Steinway
Piano Gallery in Tucson, Arizona, Juarez's
"Young Interpreters" Series in Mexico,
El Paso, Texas and Las Cruces, New Mexico.
