-Ing
-Ing is a very thoughtful thing,
and you couldn’t spell spring
if you didn’t have –ing.
Singing is nice,
but not as nice as eating rice.
That’s why –ing
is a very thoughtful thing.

I like my bike.
It is fun.
I like to ride it in the sun.
Or in the rain.
It doesn’t matter, just not in winter!
I really, really like my bike.
My bike is really, really fun.
In the sun,
Or in the rain.

My Pet
I love my pet
even if his nose is wet
the first time we met
he jumped on my lap
and took a long nap.
He follows me around
and when we go to the
playground we have lots of fun
running and playing in the warm sun.
I love him so much
he is soft to touch
he is short, small, and chubby
but best of all he is my “buddy”.

The Jungle and the Poem
Animals, animals, animals.
Animals here, animals there.
Animals are loud, animals are silent.
Zebras run, lions roar.
Toucans fly, monkeys swing.
Dogs bark, humans explore.
A dog and a human, here in the jungle.
Take them out of here, here comes the lion!

When my pencil runs out of lead

Football
Football’s the greatest sport
Now don’t get confused with rugby
Be careful so you don’t get hit ugly
So hear me out, ok.
Now football is played in different ways
There’s tackle, flag, and two hand touch
There’s just too much!
Hey, we need more players so come out and play.
If you don’t want to play, that’s ok,
But if you want to play, come on let’s go!
Sometimes it might rain or it might snow.
There are so many plays to do in the game,
But the best one of all is the flea-flicker and it
isn’t lame.
Now that you’ve heard me out
Just bring a ball because we got a game at about
1 o’clock!!!

Let’s shop
Shop, shop
But remember
Don’t ever stop

Will be
At the top
But never let

Wide and thin
Too much color
Can be a sin

Can be a hassle

History
A New World for me,
Waiting to open its contents,
Show the secrets it has,
Waiting to tell me everything.
Transporting me to another time,
Another place.
Helping me understand,
All the things that happened,
Long ago.
Telling me about people,
Place, buildings, things,
That have long since passed.
Into the Earth.
Only to be remembered,
Never again seen,
But now I can.
For it gathers information,
Brings it all to me,
So I can learn.
Suddenly it stops.
That’s where I am.
It doesn’t continue,
Until time passes on.
I hope I will be remembered,
By my descendants,
So they can know about me.
Who I was,
What I did,
When History passes me by.

Sneaky
Walking silent through the night
Always keeping out of sight
Not a single noise or sound
This is how he moves around
A shadow in the dark you’ll see
Don’t be afraid it’s only me
My spots will hide me until I see
That you are just the friend for me.

Nightmare of
Insecurity
I wake up yelling, kicking, screaming too.
I had a dream, an awful dream that I thought was true.
Then I remembered, silly me, it had to be make-believe.
The next day at school I saw something scary,
so I asked my friend Mary.
She said I was crazy,
but then again she’s very lazy.
What did I see?
A man hanging or was it me?
I see people behind the shadows pointing and staring
Are they judging me or you?
What do you do?
Laugh at yourself or be insecure?
The problem is not you, it’s them.
Be yourself, be happy?

Different
To you I seem so different,
But I’m actually a lot like you.
You think you know me just so well,
But you haven’t got a clue.
I don’t care what you say,
Or what others think of me.
It just doesn’t matter anymore.
How hard is that to see?
I’ve been mocked and teased,
and betrayed a lot before.
You can say whatever you please,
But you can’t get to my core.

Homework
Homework stinks you can’t deny
I wish it didn’t exist. You know why?
It keeps you up at night
doesn’t let you reset.
“Are you done,” my mom says.
“I need two more! Pages that is.”
It’s pitch black in the midnight sky
and I’m still working on this page of mine.
I want to go back to kinder
where I had no homework to mind.
It’s 2 AM, might I have a chance to go to bed?
That is if my brain doesn’t crack my head.
Wake up it’s eight,
Oh great I’m late!
Snoring at school, I hear the teacher say,
“Write a two page report.”
Oh no! Here we go all over AGAIN!!!

Will I make it?
Sometimes I just want to die
I want to tell this world good-bye
I want to let you know
I’m not as happy as you thought so
I’ve lost my will to live
I’ve given people all I have to give
Love, hopes, and dreams, gone down the drain
My true world is full of pain
People reject me, ignore me
But they have no clue
And if they did, they wouldn’t know what to do
Sometimes, I want to sleep, and never wake
I want to drown in a lake
I want to tell this world bye
And ask it over, “why...”
My rain comes, and drowns
And puts me down
I feel like it’ll last forever
And I will be happy never
I sleep for now
My head, I bow
I start to pray
For every day
Will I make it?

Untitled
How could mother nature cause so much pain?
The water, sharp as knives, poured like rain.
Death and destruction towered over Asia.
Like a blanket of gloom.
Peoples of every nation turn to lend a hand,
As the natives turned to see their land.
Innocent lives were taken and hearts were broken.
The world may be able to recover.
But the lives of those whose loved ones were taken away,
will be changed forever.

The Flower of
Friendship
Friendship is like a flower
Friendships can be sweet or sour
Friendships grow as time goes by
Just as a flower blooms to the sky
A great friend is always at your side
as a helping hand, or a
friendly guide
Friendship lasts forever
even when you’re not
together
So keep your friendships
strong
they’ll be sure to last
extra long
Friendships are great
so keep yours

A Hot Summer’s Day
The big black dog
bounds across the yard.
Barking at every leaf
blowing by.
Only pausing a
moment to gulp up some water.
Running back and forth,
he tells you who is boss.
Rocks flying, birds fleeing,
on a hot summer day.
He suddenly hears
the lock turn, the handle jiggle.
He gallops over to the door,
waiting for me to emerge.
I slip out the door,
barefoot on the hot cement,
I run to the shaded swing,
he follows me all the way,
never leaving my side.
I plop down on the swing.
The great Doberman rests once more
to take care of his pack.
Me.
He sniffs my hands
and bends down to lick my toes.
I give him a pat on the head for gratitude
and a scratch behind the ears for love.
Then once he knows I’m settled,
I watch him bound off again.
On a hot summer’s day.

Mr. Jackson
What happened to my man Mike?
It seems that everything he does isn’t right.
He has entertained us for many years,
But his recent actions have made fans shed tears.
He has gone through many changes since the past,
And for that he has been cast.
He covers his kids with spider-man masks.
Why does he do it?
Many people sure do ask.
What happened to my man Mike?
Simply put...he has just turned white!

On His Way Home
Ten little fingers, ten little toes.
Two big blue eyes and a pink little nose.
Little boy Bobby was on his way home.
Four days old weighing only six pounds,
Seeing so many things, hearing so many sounds,
Little boy Bobby was on his way home.
He would have been cared for; he would have had love.
But soon he was gone and taken above.
Their car had been hit, hit on the side.
This was the end of the first car ride.
There on the street his body did lie.
What was the driver thinking? Could he have been high?
High he was, yes high indeed.
What kind of life was he going to lead?
He has now killed another.,
Taking a new born from his mother.
Never given a chance, a chance to succeed.
Little boy Bobby would have indeed.
He might have been a doctor, a lawyer, or a teacher.
But now all that’s heard are the words of the preacher.
The people were gathered all dressed in black.
The reckless driver wishes he could take it all back.
Prison for life. He should have thought twice.
Getting high after all, wasn’t so nice.

Inside of Me
I walked through the forest,
In the ever-green, piney forest,
Looking for the fountain of Wisdom.
I walked through the clouds,
The fluffy snow-white clouds,
Looking for the mountain of Endurance.
I walked through the sea,
The deep, cold, blue sea,
Looking for the river of Power.
I walked through the stars,
The bright, shiny, sparkling stars,
Looking for the well of Life.
I walked through a cave,
A dark, lonely, black cave,
Looking for the springs of Knowledge.
I walked through the moon,
The big, silver-tear moon,
Looking for the hills of Truth.
I walked through the sun,
The bright, golden rays of the sun,
Looking for the valley of Love.
I looked through myself,
My plain, old self,
And found all these things,
Inside of me

The One I Love
Few people are loving, few people are kind,
Yet even fewer, are all things combined.
I must say, that if I went blind,
Her beauty would never escape my mind.
Throughout my years, which haven’t been bad,
The days with her, are the best I’ve had.
When I am with her, I find myself glad,
For no matter what we’re doing, it never seems bland.
As I stand here holding her against my chest,
It seems that my life has truly been blessed.
In so many ways, she stands out from the rest,
Which is why I enjoy her company the best.
No one’s made me feel this way before,
That’s why she means so much more.
In getting to know her, I am extremely lucky,
For after all, she remains my Becky.

Rain of Colors
She wanders among the tainted leaves,
As they slowly dance at her feet.
Flirting with every icy breeze.
Twirling to the music of their own beat.
All around is a vast sea
Of orange, yellow, and red.
Rains of colors fall from every tree,
And cover where she tread.
Who is this girl with the bright eyes?
And the earth colored hair?
Some say she had all the right lies,
To keep at bay vile despair.
Others say she had it all,
Love, success, and even a best friend.
But she lost it and just continues to fall.
She gave up too quickly in the end.
Now she walks endlessly.
Along the same path day by day.
Searching for what she lost hopelessly,
But ending up being a daily display.
Not a word she sighs.
Not a color of life in her face.
Only the trail of where she cries,
Is visible enough to trace.
Like a lost soul, she wanders the world.
Forever trapped in a realm of deceit.
Who can fathom what she held,
Through her inevitable defeat?
Her footsteps are muffled in the bed of colors.
As she’s consumed in her delusional blur.
And the trees are looming towers.
Each of us has accompanied her,
From time to time.
Journeying through the field’s fir.
Ever searching for a life-giving sign.
But not one dream does a stir.
But she continues on the trail.
The leaves flow about her in joyous news,
But she’s always destined to fail,
And always destined to lose.

Awaken
As I float divinely into the sky,
I look down at my body.
Hearing screams and cries,
Will I be going into heavenly bliss?
Oh damn! I’m falling into a dark end abyss.
Who is this?
It’s the reaper of death
Replies the voice with blood red eyes.
What is it that you want of me?
Answer these questions, just three.
Did you have all that you wanted in life?
All I needed was to be standing on my own two feet.
Do you fear for your soul?
That I don’t know, but my heart isn’t black like coal.
It burns with life, keeping me out of the cold.
Do you want to live?
Yes, but for that you must give,
The life you took
Shook the world
Just Look!
The people I’ve met
Love me
Family, friends, and even people on the streets
So what you gonna do?
Your answers were true, so here’s what I’m gonna do
No longer will I be holding you.
Under the water of this dark dreary lake
Now wake!

Cold
Red warm blood
Turns cold as it hits the surface of the skin
Cold...Just like the hearts of those who
surround me with “love”
The cold blood runs down my arm
Hits the floor
The cold love runs through my mind and
it hurts to the core
My cold smile and laughter is in presence
no more
The cold people who triggered me into this
I will always adore
Uncalled for cold death...Cold War
Loathing is the feeling to the sight
of cold gore
My cold aching heart split in two
ruptured, torn
Cold blade penetrating through my
wrist makes my cold blood pour
I coldly count one...two...three...four
I’m startled by the opening door.

Staying
Why do I stay in this situation?
Our relationship is ever changing,
I have to keep up this reputation
While our feelings are rearranging.
Some days I feel you are in love with me,
It is in the way you caress my hair.
While others I sense insecurity,
You cannot hide fear of love with a stare.
Although you are scared to admit your love,
Fearing these emotions keeps us confused.
Therefore, it leaves me like a stranded dove,
Continuing to stay and be abused.
If anguish is what I have to endure,
I will not fly until you find your cure.

Leaving Me
He was everything I needed in life,
And all I did was love him endlessly.
He wanted me to be his caring wife,
And everyday with him was heavenly.
With a blink of an eye, he said goodbye.
Why did he leave me behind all alone?
All of who I was, just wanted to die.
I was a queen left to sit on my throne.
He forgot to say I love you that day.
He left our bed and didn’t wake me up.
Waking, I realized he’d gone away.
I guess that finally he’d had enough.
His face was pale, his lips were blue and gold,
He traded me for clouds and gates of gold.

Roasted Chili
‘Tis the season
When festive colors combine.
Brilliant shades of yellow, red, and green
Draw large crowds to such a sight.
The chili harvest is here
And it is selling everywhere.
The markets and stores
From cities and towns
Gather to participate in this occasion.
Finally, the chili season has come
To satisfy everyone’s craving.
It is green like a mighty cactus
Sunbathing on a mountain.
The hot flames of a wild fire
Traveling through the woods.
I hear the cries of untamed souls
As the chili sizzles in the blazing sun.
The enticing fumes crawl up my nose
Like an evil spirit wandering the shadows.
With its lustrous skin
Like a velvety cloak,
And the movement of a serpent
Slithering within my mouth.
Roasted chilies are dancing
Within my head
As I savor every moment
Of the crop at hand.

Guerra

Siempre me has seguido con tus ojos

Pero ahora he decidido,
soltarte yo.

Callejero
Llegó solo,
es un perro callejero.
Cuida toda la cuadra
pues es su territorio.
No permite que otro
perro se acerque.
Es bravo y pelea
contra cualquiera.
En una pelea a perdido
un pedazo de su cola,
así que el es mi
perro cola mocha.

Otro lado, otra historia
cuando al morir despertaremos en el pasado;
en otro mundo.

Mi Mundo
No se donde estoy
pero se quien soy.
Me veo en un mundo de maldad
que se ve caer con facilidad.
Quisiera poder ayudar,
y a algunos débiles salvar.
Pero a veces son ellos
mismos los que me afectan.
Que alguien me diga
dónde quedó el optimismo
que de pronto se
convirtió en egoísmo.
¿Porqué el mundo es
así? Mejor prefiero
ya no vivir, y todos
mis sueños destruir.

Viaje
Resistol

tú siempre te vas a reir y a recordar
YO.

Mi Secreto
Tu siempre me
has ayudado,
Tú me haces suspirar
y haces que mi corazón empieze a palpitar.
Me gustaría poder decírtelo
Pero prefiero mejor guardarlo.
Ser amigos por siempre
y así poder estar a tu lado.
Soy un loco enamorado
que su secreto se ha guardado.

Lo Que Tú Eres Para Mí
Lo que tú eres para mí,
Mi razón para vivir,
La razón de mi existir.
Como el aire que respiro
Como los ojos con que te miro.
Tu amor es como una rosa,
tan frágil, suave, y hermosa.
Lo que tú eres para mí,
La razón de mi sufrir,
Porque cuando no estás a mi lado
Siento que podría morir.

Cada Estrella
Anoche miré hacia el cielo,
Miré a las estrellas brillantes.
Fué cuando realizé cuanto te quiero.
No fué después ni antes.
A cada estrella le puse una razón,
no sé que sentía;
Razones me sobraron.
¡TE AMO!

Lo Más Importante
Estás por el suelo y destrozado
Esperando algún milagro
Para olvidar el pasado.
Pero no te preocupes
Puedo seguir adelante
Puedo recuperarme
Para ayudarte.
Sólo espera un poco.
La ayuda vendrá en poco tiempo,
Pero no vendrá sola
La traerá el viento.
El viento traerá razón
Y con él, alivio
Para el corazón.
