My Daddy
My Dad is my Love,
Sweet as cupid up above.
I’d pick him flowers,
For hours and hours.
And I’d get him candy,
Cause he’s my daddy, and I’m his Mandy.
I tug on his shirt and give him a hug.
He tugs me in bed nice and snug.
I hope he’ll be my Valentine
Even when I am nine.

The Dark
The dark is everywhere.
The dark is silent.
The dark is spoock.
The dark is black.
The dark is with you.
Go to sleep. The dark is
inside and outside. The
dark is night. The dark
is where your mom
kisses goodnight. I guess
I know everything about the dark.

Simple Peace
We are blessed with trees
That blow in the breeze
And a moon that glows at night.
It is so peaceful
It can give us a fright.
It’s like a quiet dog
That is there and then is not.
Or maybe a ghost.
But who will ever know.
There are weird things
In the world.
Just look at fire and snow,
And the legend of Santa
Who goes “Ho! Ho! Ho!”
Or imagine a pink flamingo
Standing by a garden hose.
Have you thought of the
Peace that brings?

My Sister
She sneaks into kitchen,
She sneaks into my room.
When I’m tucked in bed,
She jumps and says, “boo!”
I wish I could stop her,
But there’s no way I could!
There’s times I get angry,
There’s time I say grrr! But
When she gives me that sweet
Look there’s nothing I could do,
But to forgive and love her.

The Sun
As the sun
rises
Each and everyday
I find myself thinking
About friends like you
That are true to me.
Deep inside my heart and soul
Is a secret that lies below. I think
About it every day and inside it hides
Away no one shall ever know about my secret that lies below.
When Roses are not red
When Violets are not blue
When Sugar is not sweet
That’s when I’ll stop being friends with you.

Wind
Wind can be breezy, like the
God’s playing a flute. It can be strong,
Like people playing drums.
If I were wind, I would swim around
In the air, like a penguin in cold water.
The wind
Is tough like some-
One wrestling; soft as a
Baby bear’s fur, and as sweet
As candy, with sugar.
Wind can be dusty like smoke,
Or wind can be clear as clean water in a glass.
Wind is like an angel breathing ice
Over a hot oven that’s on fire.
The wind can be bad as a dog
Biting its owner. It can be like a
Hot desert. So hot, that hardly anyone
Lives there.
Wind is like two upset people that are
Fighting sometimes. It is also like God
And the Devil fighting together, but then
Stopping and becoming friends.
The wind is like a peaceful, little butterfly.

Chess Attack
If I could
play just
Like the pros,
I’d move the queen as far
As she goes.
I’d attack with the knight,
And win the fight
When I make their king
Fall through the hole.
I will go to the championship
In the North Pole.
If I win there,
I’ll be the heir,
To Old King Cole’s throne,
(Maybe I’ll win a free ice-cream cone.)

Colors
White is snow covering hills,
White is fur on a bunny,
White is milk flowing in a glass,
White is marshmallow in hot chocolate.
Blue is calm water,
Blue is a color not used much.
Black is peacefully
Black is dark.
Red is love,
Red is blood flowing peacefully
Along in your body
Red is your pumping over and over.
Yellow is happiness everywhere.
Yellow is joyful in your heart.
Yellow is the sun all day.
Purple is a juicy plum.
Purple is an amethyst nice and shiny.
Brown is soil to plant flowers in.
Red, Yellow, Orange, Green, Blue,
Purple is a rainbow over the world.

Freckles
I hate my freckles
They make me mad
People call me
Freckle Boy
Freckle Face
And Dot Head
They laugh at me
People taunt me
By saying,
“You have so many
freckles it would take you years
to connect them all.”
“If there was a head scanner that would be a
great dot to dot book.”
Worst of all
“You have so many and
they are so close together
you probably couldn’t connect them all.”
I hate
When people point, stare, and make fun
Of my FRECKLES
Dumb, stupid feelings
Loss of friends
real bad days
Wishing bad things
Using my fingernails to scratch them off
My freckles, horrible, atrocious
I’m bad looking
It is just a big disaster
The point is
I hate
My freckles
And wish….
They were never there.

Bluebird
From my window everyday,
I watch the bluebird.
As his silky azure wings spread across the sky.
He glides so beautifully
Soaring so free.
But always he comes home,
To his cozy nest by my windowsill.
And when the moon’s glossy rays
Shine through my window into my room,
He sings so softly, and so sweetly.
And I drift to sleep,
With a song in my heart.

Good-bye
Saying bye is never fun.
So every time I have to,
I want to turn and run.
We’ve been together for so long.
I’ll just sing you one quick song.
As I see the tears in your eyes,
I really do hate saying bye’s.
I’ll think of you everyday.
I just wish you could stay.

Miserable Making Macaroni
There are strange things done in the school of fun by the kids who
kill the food.
The foods they say have their ways that would make your mom run
nude.
The days have seen somewhat weird, but he weirdest they ever did see
me
Was the noon on the school of Pigeon Pagoon.
I ate Mac- a – roni.
Now our cooks were from New Orleans where the cows dance for days.
Why they left their home in the south to roam round the trays, God
only prays
Food was always old, but the land of lakes seemed to hold them like
a spell.
Though they had often say in their outrageous way that “they’d
sooner live in hell.”
On Mother’s Day I was eating away on the schoolyard ground.
Talk of my hunger! Though I felt kind of younger, look what I found.
If my eyes I’d close, then the food froze till sometimes I wouldn’t
look.
It wasn’t much fun, but the only one to laugh was the cook.
Well, it seemed so low that I couldn’t say no; then she says with a
sort of moan:
“It’s the land of lakes, and it’s got my tastes, like fish fried to
the bone.
Yet, ‘tain’t being good – it’s my awful food that calls back pains;
So I want you to swear that, do or dare, you’ll eat the last
remains.”
A cook’s last need is a thing to heed, so I swore I would not fail.
And started on the junk that stunk, but god it did look stale!
I crouched on the table, and I dabbled all day with this food on my
tray.
And before the bell rang, a corpse that hanged was left of me today.
There are strange things done in the school of fun by the kids who
kill the food.
The foods they say have their ways that would make your mom run
nude.
The days have seen somewhat weird, but the weirdest they ever did
see me.
Was the noon on the school of Pigeon Pagoon,

My Mantis
I once had a mantis as a pet
A praying mantis you shouldn’t forget
Is the tiger of the insect world
Hungry, fierce and extremely bold.
If you are an insect, keep away
Should a mantis be lurking where you play
My mantis was my best friend.
He sat on my shoulder and I did defend
His insects right to stay with me,
And protect him from curiosity
They thought it was very strange
The way his body was arranged
His neck was very long
And his heart-shaped head did not belong
That thin neck and giant abdomen and
Two arms as strong as ten
Wings which gave him speed in flight
When he attacked and ate with delight
A cockroach for his supper
He killed and ate it with his choppers
However, one day, Phoebe, the neighbors cat,
Gobbled up my mantis and that was that
Phoebe licked his lips and seemed satisfied
With a chewed-up mantis on her inside.
I suppose for a mantis, the moral of the story
Is look out or cats or you’ll be sorry.

Help
She smiled at a paper
Walking down the street,
For three days,
He’d had nothing to eat.
It was omniscient
To everyone
His stomach was growling
Food? He had none.
The pauper said,
“I’m not avaricious,
I just need to bite
Of something delicious.”
She was optimistic
She reached for her bag,
She just finished lunch
So she gave him her doggie bag.
She had pity,
She hadn’t given him much
She gave him another five dollars
So that he could get more lunch.
He walked to McDonalds
There he met a man,
Who was in the same situation as he
He said, “I’ll help if I can.”
He didn’t want to vex him
An extra hamburger he bought.
He wanted to help the other man,
To him, the hamburger he brought.
Both men were very grateful
They now had something to eat,
All because of one kind lady
Who passed a pauper on the street.

My Best Friend
I didn’t understand I just
Kept crying
Somehow I felt as if
I was dying
Cut out of one place and
Glued to another
Where I had only one friend
And that was my mother
Who helped me survive
Because without her I
Would have died
I always thought families
Divorced only on TV
Until I found out the
New family was
Mine.

Grand Canyon
We are here, we are here,
I jumped out of the car,
Feeling the icy winter breeze,
Running on the recently fallen snow.
We are here, we are here,
Running on the path,
Feeling the ground squeeze under my heavy steps,
The forest noises lighten my stride.
We are here, we are here,
I know my location is near,
Speeding up some more, at last I see it.
We are here, we are here,
The canyon walls are every color I can think of,
Its immense depth amazes me,
So deep I can’t see the bottom.
We are here, we are here,
I see people that are not even close to the bottom,
They look like ants,
I am amazed by the sight I am seeing, but I think of one thing,
We are there, we are there.

Attila Is Here
So, so you think you can rule,
Just because what you do is a battle or a duel,
And because of the way of the sword,
You are our King, or Lord,
And do you think you can tell?
Burnt corpse from life,
A green field from a cold bloody knife,
And does the arch of your bow,
Depends on what you reap and what you sow,
Walking over the same old ground,
What only have you found?
The same old fear,
Attila is here.

The Things I Love
Friends are the things that lift me off my feet,
And friends are the best people you can ever meet.
Pucker up and blow a kiss to someone you adore,
Valentine’s Day has come again, a time of love once
More.
A tasty delicacy for anyone is something very sweet,
Chocolate’s not a healthy thing, but it’s a luscious treat.
Among my many friends at school, cheerleaders are my
Pals,
We cheer and dance for our home team even if they
Cause fouls.
Chinese food is a scrumptious meal, no one can argue
With that
But if I ate it every day I might become fat.
As I sit down at my piano and play each and every
Key,
When I’m tired from long days at school it’s an escape
For me.
My dog Coco is a pup whose fur is coffee brown,
Sometimes she sleeps by my bed and never makes a
Sound.

The Trail of Tears
I am sitting in my teepee by the fire,
I really only have one desire.
As I am sitting here, listening to my mother weeping
All I’ve been doing is really sleeping.
My mother says father and my older brother will probably not
return from the war,
But I have to stay strong
For the white men are coming to take us away,
To a new land of which we know nothing about.
They’ve slaughtered our buffalo,
And we have nothing to eat.
Our stomachs are empty
And I can’t stand the heat.
OH God, take me away from the retched place,
Which at one time,
I could happily call home.

Talking to an Angel
Sitting here with tears in my eyes
It sill comes to me a such a surprise
I’ll never forget that dying day
When your motorcycle crashed and now you
Lay in the middle of the street with blood
Everywhere
Two angels tried to revive you and show
Their care, alive again you regained your
Sight only lasting in that helicopter flight
You would rejoice, your body died, trying to
Wake you up, your sister cried
The burial came, it was the very day Grandpa in pain
I didn’t know what to say
I walked in the Funeral home, it was time
To grieve
I cried so hard I could hardly breath
I touched your hands, I looked at face wanting
To feel your warn embrace sitting in church
With an emptiness inside, there were no words
To describe
A hole in the ground, down you went only for you it was
God’s heaven sent
Everyday I think in my mind why did you have to
Leave me behind?
There’s nothing that ease the pain, cause in this life
I’ll never see you again
You always made me laugh and smile
Too bad it lasted just
A while the memories you left behind
Will always keep you in all our minds.

Pink
Pink is the color of a pig
It’s the color of the clouds when the sun is setting
And night lands into the sky
It also happens to be my favorite color
Pink can be many things
It can be love, friendship, fun and girlie
The best thing about pink is that it is relaxing
It attracts the eye
It gives a warm sensation through the whole body
Smooth, fluffy, pink frostings is the best
(next to chocolate of course)
Pink is innocence
So is being naive
Pink is often misunderstood
It’s looked upon as cowardly and weak
Many pink dresses and ribbons have been left behind
But pink is on its way up
To show the world that it is possible
To be pink and strong

Thoughts that Flow
Thoughts
Are nonstop
They flow in a straight line going continuosly
Until they branch off
Even then, they move steadily
Until they collide
With another thought
A more interesting thought
Like a busy highway
Full of reckless drivers
They adhere to no limits
They can be plain
And simple
Or elaborate
And even absurd
They have no boundaries
Some make sense
Others don’t
All, however are
Worthwhile
Brain exercises
They give your mind
A reason for being
Without them,
It would not be

Illusions
Illusions of love-moon and shinning stars,
Cyrano reading poems for secret love,
Along the beach, seaching for planet Mars-
The passion and caress; sweet like a dove
A tender touch, a gentle kiss-warm hearts.
A wish, a dream, a thought, us, holding hands.
Eternal searching, wishing, here, our parts.
The comely scenery, slowly Cupid lands.
When are you going to protect my dreams?
The moments cherished, secrets shared, are gone.
Create the perfect romance, one that beams.
The sky is lacking light: could not go on.
Sincere love, silent words: no, never mind.
A wish, your eyes when looking into mine…..

Escapar a diferentes mundos,

Triste Sol, Luna, Mundo
La luna está triste
Porque no la quieren mirar;
El amor se ha alejado
Y la violencia le ha Ganado
El sol está triste
Porque no puede aluzar,
La sombra ha reinado junto con el mal
Hay que aceptar la triste realidad
El mundo está triste
Porque lo han lastimado;
Sus primaveras serán ontoños
Y sus veranos inviernos.

Partida
de un Sueño
Cayendo lentamente
En el abismo del rechazo
Se escuchaban sus palabras
Retumbando en su alma.
Sin poder ver en el silencio
Moria en las llamas del tormento
Clamando el regreso del tiempo
Llorando su partida.
En el mar de las lágrimas
Se quedo su calor
Flotando en los sueños
Se murio de dolor
