Air
When you gaze up there,
You can't see the air.
The air is clear,
It is always near.
It always surrounds you
It doesn't matter what you do.
The air is fair,
It's always there.
The air is what keeps you alive,
You need it in order to survive.
Don't be mean, keep the air clean.
We can salute those who don't pollute.
YOU SHOULD LOVE THE AIR!

My Family
I live with a family of four,
and everyone of them I really adore.
I have two sisters whose names both start with C's,
and I love them very much as you can see.
Then there's my mom who always takes me to school,
and gives me a kiss and says I love you.
This is my family, I think they're cool.
I would not trade them,
Not even if they gave me a free trip to the moon.

The Pelican
Pelican fly, fly
through the sky.
My friend, pelican
land on a tree.
You have three colors.
On your feathers and mouth.
Orange on your beak.
Black on your eye.
You fly through the water.
You walk on land.
You dive through the water.
You glide on air.

When you look a little closer
Just open your eyes and see
What appears to be...
A brightly colored park bench,
Sitting all alone.
It appears to be just a bench,
But it's a homeless person's home.
Just open your eyes and see
What appears to be...
A group of people, walking along
Laughing and running and playing.
It appears to be just some friends,
But it's really a gang,
And it's graffiti they've been spraying.
Just open your eyes and see
What appears to be...
A little boy is in the park
Just playing and having fun.
He seems to be just a small lad,
But he is crying because of the
beating from his dad.
Just open your eyes and see
What appears to be...
A beautiful desert, surrounding you and me.
It appears to be a beautiful desert,
But step a little closer,
and trash is mostly what you see.
When I open my eyes and see,
The world does not always appear to be,
Filled with peace, love and harmony
But that is what I wish for,
For both you and me!

Mirrors
When you look into a mirror at the reflection you see,
When you look into the mirror are you who you want to be?
Look deep into these eyes, are they brown or blue?
Look deep into these eyes, are they real and true?
Tale a peek into your heart at a face that's staring back,
Take a peek into your heart to keep yourself on track.
Remember who you are, what you've done and what you're doing,
Remember who you are, where you've been and where you're going.
Mirrors are like candles forever burning bright,
that look into your soul and make you see the light.

Buffalo Dance
I saw the buffalo dance in morning sun
It looked like they were having fun.
I saw the buffalo run by the water.
I saw the young one's father.
I saw them eat from the grassy plain.
They all got startled by a train.
I saw the buffalo
Go to sleep that night.
The only thing I didn't see
I never saw a buffalo fight!

A Howl in the Woods
A howl in the woods is all that's said.
It's eerie enough to wake the dead.
A wolf is its bearer, its host
although it sounds as if from a ghost.
The moon is high,
and day's end has brought on nigh.
At this cry the deer shudder.
All animals' heart beats start to flutter.
It is a cry sad, but true,
and this is the message its brought to you...
A tree is chopped and a log is sold.
All men think destroying nature equals gold.
A bird is shot and beasts are hunted.
The wild animals' growth has been stunted.
Black clouds come where they used to be gray.
All of the world has gone astray.
"But wait!" the cry may say,
"there is still time before day."
In the tunnel, there is light.
There's still time to make things right.
Do not run in fright,
stay and fight!
Now as the cry draws to an end,
man can make something new begin.
No more gunfire in the hood.
To think, it started with a howl in the wood.
No more paying penalty fees;
to think, it started with a howl in the trees.
A howl in the woods is all that's said.
It's eerie enough to wake the dead.
Man didn't think the Earth would be spared.
A howl in the woods is all that cared.

War of the Fool
Two of the greatest warriors were locked in battle.
Running all through the town was nothing but terror!
The screams and cries of the frightened people made such a rattle.
What seemed to be fought over was glory and honor.
Neither cared whether he lived or died!
Both fighting with every bit of pain.
All through the night the wind cried,
"You fools - of this what will you gain?"
Neither yielding to the other for driven by self-conceit.
Both beaten by the other's hand,
Both sensing victory, not defeat.
But when morning was to come neither would be left to stand.

Love Forever
You told me that you love me,
You told me that you care,
Last night when you hit me, it wasn't fair,
When you saw me crying, all you did was stare.
As I sat there on the floor,
I knew our love was dying.
After being together for so long
There was no more time for trying,
All of that time I didn't know
That you were lying.|

The Snow Begins to Melt
Drifting deeper down
they parade my still window.
The brilliant flakes melt
like cold wood in a blazing fire.
The envelop the earth
as the nirvana of endless stars
envelop the enchanted night sky.
The call me to join;
I am trapped.
The window is my
containment
and my oblivion.
life dies on the inside
yet Life lives
on the outside.
My smile is the fading
rays of the marvelous life giver
at sunset.
My eyes are the cooling
ambers after the sensational fire.
life eases her grip,
Death embraces me.
The snow begins to melt.

Step Into Reality
Set yourself aside and release your soul to the reality of life,
Cursed by children's deaths and the government so ignorant of the
followers of strife.
Women being tortured and neglected, and men giving in to the
indulgence of temptation,
The world still yet to resurrect from the corrupt masterpiece of
his evil creation!
The tears in your eyes will signify pain when you witness the
process of destruction taking place.
Wars called on by neighbors, and those who resent the unity that
was established by the human race.
Those who come to you with a smile of deception and the hope to
entrance you into the infinity of this maze,
Lost in oblivion we are all the putrid tricks of life that
wither away the mural of golden days.
When once we treasured the beauty of trust and security that at
nightfall the doors were always open wide,
When true friends always there for you, the meaning of loyalty
full forth the would abide.
Home seemed to be a place of welcome and now fear has overpowered,
for the home is a prison the soul uses for protection,
a place where you must run to hide,
This is what you see when you stop and start to realize what this
world really portrays,
This is what you see when you take that step aside.

Mi Amigo José
A mi amigo José

Hace mucho tiempo
Vi el agua de mi vida,
que cada día desaparecía.
El agua de mi vida,
que sin tí nunca viviría.
El agua de mi vida,
que eres mi consentida.
El agua de mi vida,
que tu eres mi bebida,
nunca te dejaría por
ni siquiera una vida.
Tu eres mi amiga,
y nunca te dejaría por
ninguna dificultad.
Agua de mi vida,
que tu riegas
todo el día.
Agua de mi vida,
tu dejas crecer a los seres
vivientes todos los días.

Amistad
Un amigo es de verdad,
para ayudarte en todo,
No importa la edad,
sino su amistad que es de oro.
Un amigo está contigo,
en las buenas y en las malas.
Ofreciéndote un abrigo,
O curándote las alas.
Un amigo te acalora,
te cuida y te protege,
el simepre te adora,
por eso te protege.
Un amigo no te deja solo,
te ayuda en tus problemas,
para que sepas que no estás solo
y que nunca temas.

El Final de Nuestro Amor
Nuestro amor fue repentino;
no fue capricho ni obligación,
ni compromiso, ni obsesión.
Simplemente lo sentimos, y...
se dió.
Nuestras risas coincidían,
amabas miradas se cruzaban,
cuando fijamente nos miramos,
los corazones hablaron, y...
nuestros labios se juntaron.
Te entregué mi alma,
la tomaste.
Te confesé mi amor,
lo comprendiste, y...
fui correspondida.
Sólo que...la decepción llegó.
La frialdad se apoderó de tí,
de mí, y ...nuestros sentimientos
la adoptaron.
El final ya había llegado.
Nuestros labios jamás se volverían
a juntar, y nuestros corazones
se distanciaron cada día más.
Nuestras miradas ya jamás se cruzaron...
los sentimientos se acabaron, y...
sí, el final ya había llegado.

Te Extraño
Amor, hay días que sloedad
Me espanta.
Pues tu eres la razón de mi esperanza.
Pues cada día me haces falta.
No he podido olvidarte
Vuelve mi amor.
Como dejar de amarte
Ya no Aguanto este dolor.
Soy sincera al hablarte,
Contesta mi amor.
Pues mi corazón se parte
Porque aún necesito tu calor.
Quisiera hablarte,
No he podido dormir.
