My Best Friends

I shall never forget my best friends.
We are always together for no reason at all.
We can always count on each other for advice, or for a shoulder to cry on.
We can forgive and even agree to disagree after a fight.

This is why we value our friendship.
We value each other because no matter what happens,
in the end we will always be together
Forgiving each other’s faults.
WE ARE BEST FRIENDS.

 Tears of War

The salty tears streaming, gently down cheeks.
As the war of tears continued devouring her spirit.
Days turning to endless months, she prays to God to save his life.

She grasps every single hope that bullets will stop from claiming many innocent lives.
Mothers and mankind cry that her prayers will soon be answered.
Her prayers seem to be untrue, until the moment she hears his voice.
She dashes into the room, holding their child.
Her eyes shine like an Armageddon ready to explode.

But her love is for their child as she rocks him back and forth,
She burst into tears and prayed that this bloody war, be over and no more.

My Parakeet

My Parakeet is neat
He just loves to eat
His name is Sky and he loves to fly
He loves to sing and he loves to play
And he was also born in May
And he will still be my friend
Until the end

Shadow

All my life I’ve been trapped in my own shadow
Everyone has seen me grow up in that shadow
Everything and everyone controlled me
My friends and family dreamt of what I was to become
I have experienced everything in that shadow
Anger, sadness, and loveliness
Everything, but happiness
I was always complaining about everything
I had no friends
Until, I decided I was going to control myself
Make my own decisions
Live my life
For the first time, I had experienced happiness

Clouds

Floating quietly, mysteriously
So close and yet so far
Different shapes and sizes
Gliding, sliding way up high.

Clouds wandering, sneaking, strolling
Covering, hiding the sun
Making guessing so much fun
Sweeping, flowing in the sky.

Clouds sailing, flying, cruising
White, blue, fainting
Haze, mist, daze
An amazing maze.

Engulfed

Why is the color of my question
Truth is the color of my pain
Greed is the color of their answer
Black is the color of their chain

Faith is the trust we believe in
Strength is our power, not war
Our purpose, they talk is distant
Defying us more and more

The company they keep is so ruling
Of themselves, they only see
The elders of us all forgotten
Buried in lock without key

One day when the sun is not shining
A day without water and air
They’ll crawl out and wonder about us
With ashes seen here and there

Home Is Where the Heart Is

Home is where the heart is
That is what they say
Home is where the heart is
I feel it every day
Home is where the heart is
I love my special space
Home is where the heart is
You never have to race
Home is where the heart is
Your family all around
Home is where the heart is
Hugs and kisses all around
Home is where the heart is
Easy to calm down
Home is where the heart is
Where I can be a clown
Home is where the heart is
My favorite place to be
Home is where the heart is
A place I can be ME!

Excalibur

A blade of fine
Full of silvery shine
All wished to own
This blade of mine.

I may have been just a lad,
But I was not foolish.
I did not use if for any bad—
T’was not my wish.

A mistake it was
To pull if from the stone,
And cause all those wars—
I should have just left it alone.

But, when its beauty was shone
In the light of dawn,
I sated in awe—
How could I ever want it gone!

I tried to convince them; it was just a sword!
For a while they listened.
But when they saw how it glistened,
It led to bloodshed and discord.

Slowly things turned shady.
Those I once loved,
Who were in my heart, mighty
Were shoved to the wayside.

Many a day I spent
On the hillside admiring
My sword so named, Excalibur.
Though I forget what it meant.

Now here I lay
With no more to say
As I stroke my blade—
So named… Excalibur.

Untitled

Things happen.
Learn from each mishap from each day.
Feel the love. It’s everywhere.
Around the corner, under your nose.
Questions are always the key to knowledge.

Set apart differences, look around.
Judging is a key nature. Good or bad.
It goes good with opinions. Opinions build structures.
Structures are limits. Limits are those thoughts made from a statement.
That opinion, it makes you who you are.

Warm silver beams on pale summer’s eve.
Gentle grasp, holds me fast in an ageless time, unseen.
Moon’s shimmering light, a veil blocking life’s plight.
Ah, bittersweet embrace.
Thy joyful light unrivaled.
Thy parting, deepest sorrow.
Let me stay forever, and a day.
Within the moon’s sweet light.
Where the world stands idle.
And worlds, upon worlds, have their arrival.
Let me stay, and may dawn’s light never reach me.
Let the moon be my sun, and its rays my guide.
Here, embalmed within its light.
I shall never fear, day’s plight.
Hold fast to me. Never let go.
Allow me this freedom, and keep dawn away.
Let the moonlight keep me, forever, and a day.
Let me dance in the worlds, within my dreams.
Let me stay within moon’s light, happy, without plight.
Let me hold on, with all my might.
Hold back dawn, let never find me.
Allow me to stay forever, and a day.
Within pale moon’s light.

The “No Name” Game

This is the dark of night.
With the delight of day.
The autumn change way.
As you sit without delay.
The whispers are coming,
with the thrill chill they say.
That the blood is still rich.
And the pain has now decayed.
The howling of large trees.
With the speed of sunlight’s wave.
Comes the cold thought of dismay.
And the feeling that you’re the prey.
When all the systems crash down.
And all the wires depraved.
The door will not open,
as your mind is now afraid.
This is what’s coming.
With no color and no pride.
Black and white are the tears.
And blood shot red are the eyes.
With the weight of discourage.
All the purple souls now have paved.
The flight of the crow.
Through death and beyond the grave.
With one strand of hair.
May you believe that you’re finally there.
An “x marks the spot” is your only life line.
As you watch it come crumbling down,
because now is the time.
After battle and defeat, you finally realize,
happiness is not the answer.
But one of the (so called) crimes.
Your faith no longer listens.
As the filth slowly crawls in.
Through your nails and skin.
Every breath you take comes from within.
But now it’s time to stop.
As you slowly close your eyes.
The feeling that you’re on top.
And everything around you dies…

Wandering Minds

I am sitting here
Watching the clouds pass
My mind wanders
To lands afar

I am a princess
Waiting for my prince
Where has he gone?
Is he alive?

I am a hero
Saving those in need
Joy fills my heart
When I help them

I am a mermaid
Combing my long hair
Splashing my fin,
In blue waters

I am a rancher
Rounding up the herd
How I do love,
The open range

I am an actress
Acting on the stage
I love to laugh
And entertain

There are so many,
Places to travel
Where to go next
I have no clue

Now I must return
For my mother calls
I hate to stop,

Broken Heart

I’m sitting here feeling blue
Can’t think of anything except you
I have a broken heart
All because of who?
You…
You broke my heart
And you tore it in two
Now I’m sitting thinking
How can I get over you?
You are the only one I can think of
There is no one else in my mind
I really like you
But you broke my heart
Now what can I do?

My Family

I have a new sister, she’s as cute as can be
She’s very, very special to me
She’s funny, and smart, she’s stolen my heart
There’s also another sister I have
That makes me smile and makes me laugh
Two sisters and me together make three
Mom and Dad make the perfect family
We laugh, we cry, but together we try
To always be a HAPPY FAMILY
My family of five I say with pride
Will always be together side by side
Family is important in every which way
And that is why I’m going to say
Love one another, your sister, your brother
But most of all always remember each other

Los Luchadores

Me gustan los luchadores
Porque usan protectores
Para que no les peguen
En las partes mayores.
Me gustan los luchadores
Porque tienen mostradores
Para guardar las mascaras
De los otros peleadores.
Me gustan los luchadores
Porque son los mejores
No hay nadie como ellos
Porque son unos ganadores.
Me gustan los luchadores
Porque no son como los boxeadores
Ellos buscan ser campeones
Y no son unos perdedores.

My Friends, My Buddies, and My Pals

Cinnabar, Rose, Sailor and Dancer, Irish, Twilight and Drama forever.
They are my friends, my buddies, my pals,
Even though they are all horses.
My horseback riding instructor Laura,
gets mad at me for pulling back on the reins.
I just have to remember the bit is in their mouth,
Especially when I am facing south.
They have tails and barrels, manes and hoofs.
Cinnabar has a white blanket on his butt.
For he is an Appaloosa you see, and almost as tall as a tree.
Next there is Rose the shortest of them all,
But she is the tallest in personality.
Sailor never spooks, so when I ride him it is so smooth.
Dancer has a thing with nipping and kicking too,
It is for self defense, not to hurt you.
Irish is shy but should be sly,
Because Twilight is always mean to him.
Twilight likes to be in charge.
We call them both the castaways because
They were two who were going to die,
But Laura rescued them from an evil guy.
Drama, Drama, what can I say,
Maybe I should go get him some hay.
Cinnabar, Rose, Sailor and Dancer, Irish, Twilight and Drama forever.
They are my friends, my buddies and my pals.

Untitled

You cry because you’re
Dying inside
And no one knows it but
A higher love.
You want to be rescued
By someone that needs you.
But deep down inside
In the beats of your heart
You’re standing on empty
Because, blue is the color
Of your skin.
It’s so easy to say goodbye
When all your tears have run dry,
But tomorrow I must say
That I’ll be back one day
And when that day comes,
You’ll know that I needed to tell you
All the things that I wanted to say.
But one thing is true, I LOVE YOU.

  Winter

Sledding, sliding, ice skating.
Hot cocoa and fudge.
Evergreen trees sparkling and shining in the snow.
Snowmen, spice cake, Christmas trees.
Gingerbread, decorations, Christmas lights.
Stockings, presents, candy canes, and silver lanes.
These are some of my favorite things.

Sliding and crashing, slippery slush, frozen toes, broken bones.
Cold, sore bottoms.
Runny nose, catching colds, broken candy canes.
Cocoa spilled on your lap.
Shorter days, less time to play.
These are some of my favorite things.

 Midnight Song

I see the stars overhead
Twinkling brightly
To the midnight song.
The crickets chirp and
The fireflies dance
As the moon shimmers
Across the clear lake.
A hint of perfume with
The aroma of food.
The happy chatter of people
In the glow of firelight.
A couple together alone
On a wooden bench.
Soft whispers ends in
A loving kiss.

Don’t Let It Be Over

Please stop all the fighting.
Please stop all the lying.
Can’t we just have peace?
For one day at least.
Can’t you two just get along?
You were in love seventeen years long.
Don’t you remember your wedding song?
“Here and Now” is where you belong.
Why does it seem like you hate each other?
You always told me you loved one another.
So just spare each other another chance.
I know you both are dying inside.
So just take a chance and realize…
THAT YOU WERE MEANT TO BE.

A true story

Fondue

When I eat fondue I say woo hoo!
You eat bananas with your nana
And mangos while you do the tango
Last but not least you eat a cherry
And you will feel merry
Try different fruits with fondue
And you will be saying woo hoo!

My Favorite Place Within...

I have a favorite place
It resides inside of me
Deep within my thoughts
Is where I truly love to be

I can be playing a game of baseball
Pitching strikes and hitting homeruns
Maybe even a couple grand slams
I can do anything and have lots of fun

I can be playing my saxophone
Jamming away, playing a jingle
I can be playing my piano
Maybe coming out with my own single

I can be listening to music
A little be-bop or swing, maybe?
How about a concert or a Broadway show?
Contemporary or jazz, I'll have to see

I can be in my room when I'm not there
I can be vacationing on the beach
Any place I want to be
Is within my thought's reach

I have a favorite place
It resides inside of me
Deep within my thoughts
Is where I truly love to be
