A successful Business Value Information Technology (BVIT) strategy
requires governance that will allow us to make non-departmental
technology decisions with adequate cross-enterprise communication
or consultation with our primary customers – YOU!
To that effect, the Information Technology Department created the
Project Office that will coordinate and monitor all citywide IT
projects and/or issues. This office will be an enabler of IT, a
repository of best practices, and it will be the primary vehicle
by which we gather, review, coordinate, and acquire automated systems.
We want to acquire the systems that will give us the information
we need in order to make fast, accurate, and efficient decisions
that will maximize our tax revenues to improve service delivery,
citizen access an more efficient operations through innovative technology.
