Welcome to the Information Services page. Information Services is a division of the Information Technology Department. Information Services is responsible for all of the City's data and applications required by the City of El Paso. The service we provide to the City's departments allows those departments to offer the citizens of El Paso the best possible service.

Information Services is made up of four sections. They are as follows:

Technical Support - Technical Support takes all trouble calls for the department. Included are Technicians that are dispatched to users reporting problems.

Application Support - Application Support staff supports all City applications. This includes financial and human resources applications. Others consist of permitting, time accounting, legal, streets, etc. All Web applications also are part of this group.

Database Administration - Database Administrators are responsible for the integrity of the City's data. Database Management Systems software is used to maintain critical City data.

Networks - This section is responsible for maintaining all of the City's data communication. Currently, this group maintains 117 remote sites and the number of sites just keeps growing.

Information Services is dedicated to providing the City's users the most efficient computing resources in order to provide the citizens of El Paso the best possible service.
