PARKING METER DEBIT CARD
USER INSTRUCTIONS AND INFORMATION

The Parking Meter Debit Card can be used at any City of El Paso electronic parking meter to purchase meter time in 30-minute increments at $0.25 per increment up to the time limit of the meter. The card cannot be used to produce fewer than 30 minutes of parking time limit of the meter. There will be no charge for each new card purchased, only the amount placed on the card for meter use. The parking card is reusable and additional parking credit can be added to the card whenever the original amount has been depleted or the balance is low. There will be a maximum of $ 100.00 per card and a minimum of $ 25.00 per card.

DAMAGED OR LOST CARDS

The card is the responsibility of the purchaser. The City of El Paso will not replace a lost or stolen card, or a card damaged due to the negligence of the purchaser. The City will not refund any parking credit that may have remained on the card. Any card that may be defective should be returned to 2 Civic Center Plaza, Cashiers on First Floor for inspection and evaluation. In case of debit card orders placed by mail, the City will not be responsible for any lost in the mail.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Insert the card into the diagonal card slot with the arrow on the card pointing to the diagonal slot on the meter. When inserted properly, the credit remaining on the card will be displayed on the meter. Then within a few seconds after the card is inserted, 30 minutes of parking time will appear on the display, and $0.25 will be deducted from the card. Remove the card when the desired amount of parking time is displayed. If the card is not promptly removed, parking time will continue to be added to the meter and credit deducted from the card. The meter will display “FULL when the maximum time has been purchased. During rainy weather, you may have to wipe the water off the card before inserting it into the card slot.

IMPORTANT NOTE

Do not place on magnet or close to a magnet or information will be erased.

INOPERATIVE ELECTRONIC METERS

Please report any electronic parking meter that does not accept the card to 858-3842. Please give us the street name and meter number when reporting the malfunction.
