Our mission is to conduct surveillance, investigation, prevention, education, and control activities to prevent outbreaks and the spread of communicable/infectious diseases in the community.

Our office consists of public health personnel who watch over the health of the City by investigating communicable/infectious diseases and outbreaks, and monitoring health trends.

Services

Conduct surveillance, investigation, prevention, education, and control activities to reduce the spread of communicable/infectious diseases.

Notifiable Conditions reports are received 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Collect, analyze, interpret and monitor disease occurrence in the population.

Provide statistical data on reportable conditions.

Provide consultative services to healthcare providers and citizens upon request.

Provide prophylaxis treatment (under special circumstances) and refer susceptible disease contacts for immunizations.
