  • With FTZ automation the entire admission process for getting of goods from the port of entry into FTZs will be greatly expedited and much simpler with very limited human intervention.
  • FTZ automation will offer importers the most predictable and expeditious routing for goods into the US and could save 1-2 days in transit time port.

Current size of the FTZ market

  • Receipts into Foreign-Trade Zones account for more than 7% of all US imports
  • Receipts in 2004 totaled $317 billion
  • FTZ receipts in 2004 increased 29% over receipts in 2003
  • More than 20,000 paper admission documents are currently filed monthly
  • A significant volume of transactions will now be electronically transmitted to CBP, including the majority of sub-zone transmissions typically transmitted in monthly electronic reports.
