Current size of the FTZ market
- Receipts into Foreign-Trade Zones account for more than 7% of all US imports
- Receipts in 2004 totaled $317 billion
- FTZ receipts in 2004 increased 29% over receipts in 2003
- More than 20,000 paper admission documents are currently filed monthly
- A significant volume of transactions will now be electronically transmitted to CBP, including the majority of sub-zone transmissions typically transmitted in monthly electronic reports.
