Built and occupied on September 18, 1930. The station was closed for a short period during World War II. It reopened again in 1947.

The station is housed in one of the oldest sections of town. The station sits on Montana Ave. which has always been one of the main roads used in the city for commuting. The station responds to the small to large businesses located in the area including law offices, manufacturing, stores, and restaurants. The station also covers the "Pill Hill" area of El Paso. A collection of doctor's offices, health care facilities, and hospitals that sit up on the lower slopes of the Franklin Mountains that the city is built around. There are some wonderful views of El Paso and Juarez from that area including majestic Scenic Drive.
