The Financial Accounting and Reporting section of the Financial Services Department is responsible for reporting, managing and monitoring of the City’s accounting system and providing information for use by management, investors, regulatory agencies and creditors. This area is responsible for the issuance of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for the City of El Paso. This report is published to provide the Mayor of El Paso, City Council, City staff, citizens, bondholders and other interested parties with detailed information concerning the financial condition and activities of City government. The fiscal year end of the City is August 31.
