Juli Lozano

Juliet Lozano serves as the Public Information and Marketing Corporate Manager and Executive Assistant to the City Manager. Ms. Lozano leads external and internal communications and coordinates communication for City government through the City Manager’s office. In addition, she serves as the City’s primary spokesperson, directs the City’s public information efforts, oversees and manages all of the City’s communications and marketing programs including media relations, public relations, publications, video production and content for the City’s website. Ms. Lozano also oversees the City Clerk’s Office, the administrative staff in the City Manager’s office, and serves as a council liaison for City Council.

Ms. Lozano is a native El Pasoan. She began her career with the City of El Paso in 2004 when she became the City’s first and only Communications and Public Affairs Manager. During her time with the organization, she has created a program to coordinate with all Public Affairs coordinators within the City’s structure. She has also been instrumental in maintaining communication with employees and the community by creating a City government channel and newsletters. Ms. Lozano constantly works closely with all city departments to further promote awareness in City government, services, and activities to create a more unified approach and message.

Before joining the City of El Paso, she served for six years in the Ysleta Independent School District as Interim Executive Director of Community Initiatives and as the Public Relations Specialist. Ms. Lozano has also taught undergraduate courses in Public Speaking at Park University as an Adjunct Instructor.

Ms. Lozano earned a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations/Organizational Communications with a minor in Business from the University of Texas at El Paso. She continued her education and earned a Masters in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix.
