2009 Holiday Waste Collection Schedule
Environmental Services El Paso

The City of El Paso' Waste Collection will NOT be interrupted on the following holidays:
  • Martin Luther King
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
Waste Collection will be on regular schedule during the above holidays, Tuesday through Friday. Clint Landfill and the Citizen Collection/Recycling Sites will be closed on New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
New Year's Day, Thursday, January 1, 2009
Thursday's waste will be collected on Saturday, January 3rd, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday will be on regular schedule.
Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, 2009
Thursday’s waste will be collected on Saturday, November 28, 2009. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday will be on regular schedule.
Christmas Day, Friday, December 25, 2009
Friday's waste will be collected on Saturday, December 26, 2009. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday will be on regular schedule.
New Year's Day, Thursday, January 1, 2010
Friday's waste will be collected on Saturday, January 2, 2010. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday will be on regular schedule.

Reduced fees are available for those 65 years of age and older, or 100% disabled with proper credentials. For more information, call 621-6700.

Garbage Tips
  • Keep lids closed at all times.
  • Do not over pack the container.
  • Keep away from vehicles, cable box, mail box, shrubbery, or any fixed object.
  • Set container out for collection by 5:00 a.m. on collection day, no earlier than 6:00 p.m. the night before.
  • Do not place items on top or around the container.
  • Do not place construction debris, rocks, dirt, soil, oil, paint, or flammable liquid.
  • Bag the waste.
  • Maintain a 3 ft. distance minimum between container, vehicles, trees, walls, shrubbery, fire hydrants, cable box and similar obstructions.
  • Occasionally rinse out the container.
