The Engineering Services Division consists of the Air Quality and Environmental Compliance sections. The Air Quality section is responsible for maintaining and collecting data from air monitoring sites located within the El Paso County, including the city limits, and in Juarez, Mexico and for enforcing city and state air quality regulations. The Environmental Compliance section assists the City with compliance issues including asbestos, mold, hazardous waste management, landfill permit requirements and regulatory reporting. The group also manages the Brownfields Redevelopment Program and a number of the Department’s Key Projects.
