Solid Waste Division

• Collection of all residential solid waste and recyclable materials within the City of El Paso.
• Operation of 5 Citizen Collection Stations where residential customers can dispose of yard waste, bulky items and recyclables free of charge.
• Operation of a free Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program at the 5 Citizen Collection Station
• Operation of the City’s Clint Landfill for the disposal of residential and commercial waste.
• Beautification of the City through removal of illegal dump sites, maintenance and cleaning of vacant City properties, clean up of alleys, and a program for special pick-ups of bulky residential items and dead animals.

Compliance Services Division

• Contribution to the Quality of Life and preservation of neighborhoods by operating an effective Code Compliance Program
• Protection and enhancement of the well being of the community and the protection of the environment through the enforcement of Environmental Laws.
• Mosquito population control through the Vector Control program.

Engineering Division

• Promote and ensure City compliance with environmental regulations and maintain a safe environment for the City’s facilities and the City of El Paso.
• Coordination of environmental engineering services throughout the City, including asbestos/mold, Brownfields program, and EPA/TCEQ compliance.
• Through the Air Quality section maintains and collects data from air monitoring sites located within the El Paso County, the city limits, and in Juarez, Mexico and enforces city and state air quality regulations.
