Environmental Services protects the community's environment through the provision of weekly residential garbage and recycling collection, landfill disposal services, special collection services, and through operation of five Citizen Collections Stations (CCS) for the disposal of bulky items and Household Hazardous Waste. The Department also promotes and enhances a clean and healthy environment through the enforcement of environmental, licensing and zoning laws, the eradication of illegal dumping, vector control, air monitoring and enforcement, the cleaning of alleys, and helping neighborhood associations in their cleanup efforts. |
