Earth Day Celebration

Join the City of El Paso’s Environmental Services Department as we host the 9th Annual Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at San Jacinto Plaza, located at 114 W. Mills Avenue, from 9am – 2pm.

El Paso's Earth Day Celebration is a FREE outdoor event that educates our community on how we can each do our part to help the environment, while creating a better quality of life in our city. Bleu, ESD’s robot mascot, invites the community to this fun-filled family event featuring educational resources, vendors, food and entertainment for our community.

PSA Video Contest

The Environmental Services Department strives to teach area high school students about the importance of recycling by giving students the opportunity to produce a video for the department's 2019 "Recycle Right, El Paso" Public Services Announcement (PSA) Contest.

Students will use the "Recycle Right, El Paso" theme to create a 30 second video focusing on what can/cannot be recycled in El Paso with attention to plastic bags, shredded paper, and textiles. There is no fee to enter and no limit to the number of entries. Individual students or student groups (up to 2 students) may enter.
