2019 Earth Day eventJoin the City of El Paso’s Environmental Services Department (ESD) as we host the 10th Annual Earth Day celebration from 9am - 2pm on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at San Jacinto Plaza, located at 114 W Mills Avenue.

This is a FREE, outdoor event that educates our community on how we can each do our part to help the environment, while creating a better quality of life in our city. Blue, ESD’s recycling robot, invites the community to this fun-filled family event featuring educational resources, vendors, food, and entertainment.

PSA Video Contest

ESD invites all area high school students to learn about recycling by producing a video for the department's 2020 "Do You Know What to Throw" Public Service Announcement (PSA) Contest. Deadline to submit is March 20, 2020.

Students will use the "Do You Know What to Throw" theme to create a 30-second video about recycling contamination with emphasis on the nine materials that are not accepted through our residential recycling program. There is no fee to enter and no limit to the number of entries. Individual students or pairs of students may enter.
