The mission of the Engineering Department is to provide, procure & coordinate all engineering, geodetic, and architectural services required for the design, construction, maintenance and repair of public works and public buildings for the City, and engineer and operate the City's traffic system while acting as the City's technical expert.

Goals

• Administer and manage the City's long-term capital improvement plan.
• Manage and coordinate the execution of all phases of funded capital improvement projects.
• Oversee and manage the City's traffic engineering function to ensure safe, expeditious and efficient traffic flow throughout the City.
• Provide technical engineering expertise & guidance to all City departments.
