"Military & Law Enforcement Appreciation Day"
HALF-PRICE DAY

Saturday - July 8th 9:30 - 5:00 p.m.

Everyone is invited to the zoo for a half price day!

The El Paso Zoo honors all the men and women who save, serve and protect our country. We're saluting the soldiers, police officers, fire fighters, customs agents or any member of the military or law enforcement community with a half price day for ALL ZOO GUESTS. Parents - The Red Cross will teach you rescue techniques that could save your child's life. Plus, there'll be face painting, a jumpy balloon and karaoke for the kids & music by Pat Ramos. The Afro-Latin group Radio La Chusma will be performing live from 2:00p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

NEW: All military personnel with an active military I.D. card get 10% off at the Grasslands Cafe and The Elephant's Trunk Gift Store.

Sunny's Friends at the Red Cross will be here at the El Paso Zoo on July 8th - for Military & Law Enforcement Appreciation Day," and they will teach parents how to keep kids safe in the water. AND The Red Cross is bringing Annie! You remember Annie... the resuscitation dummy that you learn CPR on?

Join us at the Zoo for this HALF PRICE Day and get the added benefit of walking away with the knowledge of how to protect your family this summer from water dangers. There have been two drownings this year in El Paso and 34 children have drowned in Texas (Courtesy: APS). Every parent wants to protect their child from danger and the Red Cross can help teach vital tips. Immediately after "The World of the Sea Lion" show at 11:15 and 3:15, parents and kids are invited to stay and learn from the experts at the Red Cross - who are donating their time for this important seminar. It will run about an hour. And again, it is free.
