This website is owned by the City of El Paso. It was built by volunteers in cooperation with the El Paso Zoo Education Department and the El Paso Zoological Society.

The El Paso Zoo Education Department maintains two mailing lists for people interested in keeping up with all the news from the El Paso Zoo. Our General Mailing List is for people who are interested in learning about important web page updates and special events. Our Teacher Mailing List is for educators who would like to be informed of special events and activities that relate to educational programs and other information that relates to schools. To get on either list simply send a e-mail to our education office and write in the subject box General Mailing List or Teacher's Mailing List.

Mission Statement for Education

The mission of the education program at the El Paso Zoo is to protect and restore wildlife and their habitats worldwide through on and offsite lectures and live animal presentations, zoo camps, guided tours and various media including interpretive signage, a comprehensive website and publications.

Vision Statement for Education

The internationally recognized conservation education program at the El Paso Zoo has helped to protect and restore thousands of wildlife species and their habitats around the world.
