Visit the Railroad and Transportation Museum at 400 W. San Antonio, at the corner of San Antonio and Durango, south of the Civic Center.
Exhibits cover many facets of transportation, such as the use of railroads in wartime, urban transit from 1880s mule car through electric streetcars of the early 20th century and the second transcontinental railroad built through El Paso.
A restored 4-4-0 Classic American 1857 locomotive is on display along with exhibits on the history of the EP & SW No. 1.
