El Paso, Texas

Projected Completion: Spring 2009

El Paso attorney and businessman Jim Scherr has announced the multi-million dollar development of a 200-room Doubletree hotel in El Paso, Texas. A construction commencement ceremony was held today, with completion anticipated in Spring 2009.

"We look forward to bringing Southwestern hospitality back to Downtown El Paso through an upscale, full-service hotel that will exemplify the rising quality of life in the greater El Paso area," said Jim Scherr, owner.

The Doubletree, which will be located in the heart of downtown El Paso, will be managed by Richfield Hospitality, Inc.

F.T. James Construction, Inc. has been retained as the joint venture general contractor with Mitchell Carlson Stone, Inc., as the architect.
