REPRESENTATIVE EMMA ACOSTA

Emma Acosta is a home-grown, native El Pasoan, having grown up and raised a family of her own in the East/Central area of the City – District 3. She was elected to serve as the District 3 City Council Representative for the city of El Paso, Texas in June 2008.

Ms. Acosta brings to her office a long-spanning professional history as a public servant that includes a 30-year career with the City of El Paso government working in departments ranging from the Consolidated Tax Office, Police Department and Finance Department to Public Works and the Office of Management & Budget. She finished the last 10 years of her service with the City working in the Environmental Services Department. She is one of the consultants for her company, Emma Acosta Consulting, which she formed after her retirement from the City in 2004.

She holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from the University of Texas at El Paso and an MBA from Webster University.

Ms. Acosta maintains a deep commitment to the El Paso community and volunteers her spare time assisting various local organizations. Emma Acosta is proud to serve her constituency in District 3 and the greater El Paso community.
